Legal Rules for the “Sing Off Barcelona” Singing Contest
1. Organizer
The “Sing Off Barcelona” singing contest is organized by Maria Millet and Bibiana Morales.
2. Contest Purpose
The main objective of the contest is to discover and promote young vocal talents. It seeks to offer
participants the opportunity to improve their singing technique and develop their artistic skills.
3. Participation Requirements
Young people between the ages of 10 and 17, inclusive, may participate in the contest. Participation implies the acceptance of these legal rules and requires the express consent of their father, mother, or legal guardian.
4. Premios
The following prizes will be awarded to the three winning finalists:
• First Prize: Singing or artistic training valued at €299.
• Second Prize: Singing or artistic training valued at €199.
• Third Prize: Singing or artistic training valued at €99.
Note on taxation: Given that the value of the training prizes is less than €300, these prizes are not subject to Personal Income Tax (IRPF) withholding.
5. Contest Mechanics
The contest will be held in three elimination phases, according to the following schedule and
format:
Phase 1: Online Registration and Audition
• Registration Period: From September 1 to October 20, 2025.
• Requirements: Participants must send a video to the email address concurs@singoffbarcelona.com. The video must have a maximum duration of 3 minutes and must include a brief personal introduction of the participant and a sung song.
• Submission Format: The video must be uploaded to the YouTube platform with the “unlisted” setting, and the link must be sent via email.
• Selection: A production team from Sing Off Barcelona will evaluate the videos and select the participants who will advance to the second phase.
Phase 2: In-Person Auditions (Semifinal)
• Date and Location: November 29, 2025, in the morning, at the Lluïsos de Gràcia theater. This phase will be held behind closed doors, with no public access.
• Requirements: Those selected for this phase must prepare one song to perform live and
bring the instrumental backing track on a storage device (USB).
• Selection: The production team will select the 10 finalists who will advance to the Grand Final.
Grand Final
• Date and Location: November 29, 2025, in the afternoon, at the Lluïsos de Gràcia theater. This phase will be open to the public.
• Mechanics: The 10 finalists will perform two songs before a professional jury that will evaluate their performance.
• Verdict: The jury will issue an unappealable verdict and will decide on the three winners of the contest.
6. Key Dates
• Registration Deadline: October 20, 2025
• Announcement of selected participants for Phase 2: October 30, 2025
• In-Person Auditions and Grand Final: November 29, 2025
7. General Conditions
• Participation in this contest implies the acceptance of each and every one of the rules set forth herein. Any non-compliance may result in the participant’s disqualification.
• Participants and their legal guardians waive the rights to their image and voice for Sing Off
Barcelona to use their audition videos and final performances for promotional purposes of
the contest.
• Sing Off Barcelona reserves the right to modify or cancel the contest if circumstances of force majeure require it. Any changes will be duly notified through the contest’s official channels.
